Location: Statia
We woke up very early today and set sail for Statia. The wind was
against us so that passage took longer than expected. Once anchored in
the harbor, we had a quick lunch then headed off to explore the island.
It seemed deserted at first, but eventually we saw a small town,
although most things were closed. We grabbed sodas at a fast food
place and then went to an internet cafe. We saw a Dutch Fort and
planned our day for tomorrow. Back on Renoir II, we barbequed
hamburgers and ate macaroni and cheese. For desert we had delicious
brownies. Now we're ready to rest up for a big day of hiking and
diving tomorrow.
