Location: Nelson's Dockyard, Antigua
Our day began early; we set sail at 12 am for Antigua. We divided into our two watch teams and each team sat watch for three hours shifts. During the sail we experienced wind gusts of 35 knots, the most wind we've seen so far. Just outside the entrance to Antigua our engine clogged, however, everyone reacted very well as we tacked back out to sea and continued to tack back and forth as Kevin fixed the engine. We finally made it to Nelson's Dockyard and got to take our first all fresh water shower. We then went to Shirley Heights, where we danced and listened to an amazing steel drum band. It was a lot of fun.
